So I built a pole barn and it's much too far away for Zigbee or apparently stable Zwave even with repeaters.
I do however have a eero WiFi access point in the barn so I embraced the Matter Bulbs from Linkind.
They work great BUT when the power goes out they all turn on, there is no "power restore state" in the settings for the generic driver, can this be added so that I can set them to be off on a power restore state?
Hoping yes as I will likely replace all my Inovelli Zwave Bulbs with the Linkind as they are much faster on the color changes that my wife must have for every holiday
I have some Zigbee strip lights that do the same. No option to have them be off upon power restore.
So I added a Ring Z-Wave Repeater (gen2) that will notify the hub of a power loss, and subsequent restore. When I get the restore event, I send a power off command to the LED.
The one issue with your setup is that the repeater would likely not be able to be placed in the barn, so there could be situations where the barn loses power, but not the house…
