GE/Jasco 12718

I just got my hub today and I am starting a move from smartthings to hubitat.
Most of what i have is IRIS and some GE wall switches, except for 1 thing I got on sale which is the first thing I tried to move. It is one of my 2 GE #12718 plug in Z-wave smart dimmers and hubitat doesn't see it.
I'm hoping to do the migration this weekend, I just wanted to get 1 thing moved to try it, and of course I chose the one that doesn't want to work.

I just looked and I think this is the only thing I have (other than a wifi thermostat) that doesn't seem to be on your compatibility list. I also just did a forum search, but didn't see this model listed anywhere.

Has anybody had any experience with this device?
Is there a generic driver with the dimming capability that I can make work with it?

Thanks in advance for any info or help.

Mike

Did you exclude it from ST first? I always do an exclude when I add something to my network, even if it has been excluded from its previous location. I also run an exclude with new devices because you never know if it has been returned, tested etc. Make sure you work out from your hub when creating a new system. Add devices closest to the hub first before adding devices further from the hub. The idea is to create a good mesh.

Yes. When you get it to pair successfully, it will work with the generic zwave dimmer driver.

I couldn't get it to remove from ST with the classic app, so i used ST's groovy IDE web access to remove it. That seemed to work just fine. It disappeared from both that page and the app.

I tried to add it to Hubitat with it not seeing it. I also tried using hubitat z-wave exclusion then letting it search for it. I unplugged it from it's current location and plugged it in about 5 feet from the hub. (it's home location is about 15 feet away)
Nothing.
I followed the instructions from GE to reset it and tried it again. Nothing

I added it back into ST for now. Just like the first time I added them, ST didn't see it automatically, so i used manual add and selected it from a list, then it saw it and added it just fine. That's the way I had to add all 3 (not 2 like i first thought) when i first got them.

I'm not sure removing it using the IDE is the same as exclusion.
I had problems excluding the Z-Wave devices from SmartThings when I made the transition.
I found that trying to exclude from the device page never worked but the general exclude did work. It's been so long since I used the SmartThings app that I can't remember exactly where you go to get to the general exclude. I just remember I had to use it for almost every Z-Wave device. Maybe someone with more recent SmartThings experience can provide exact details.

If the device has not been excluded, you won't be able to see it to join it to Hubitat.

It isn't.

It will not pair with hubitat until it is properly excluded from a controller (ST, hubitat, or other), or factory reset.

Yeah for sure have exclude it. Deleting it in IDE just deletes the device. Doesn’t delete the z wave mapping.

I finally got the ST app to exclude and remove the device. I still had to exclude and search from hubitat 4 more times, but it finally found it.
I will make sure it triggers correctly later today and it hopefully will. As long as it does, i will start transferring more tomorrow.
Thanks
