Just grabbed a few of these, anyone know of a proper driver for the zigbee dimmer? I am seeking control of the led etc Great switch, smaller than the previous generation, reaction time is instant.
Currently using the built in GE Zigbee Driver

It will detect the correct driver when you join it.
The driver isn't as feature rich as I would have expected. For example there is no led status toggle
There are no user drivers for the GE zigbee switch/dimmers.
Someone could make one, but no one has as it is a lot more work than it is to make a custom zwave driver, and not many people use the zigbee devices.
this is a limitation of the device.
the indicator can be disabled/enabled via manual configuration (per the manual), but not controlled programmatically.
I have a few found love for zigbee vs zwave plus. Whats your preference ?
I have so many devices if they were all zigbee and one fell of the network I probably wouldn't notice other than something wasn't working right. With Z-wave at least I can see if there's something going on with them.
if you're asking me it's Zigbee, but having said that the reliability of Zigbee is very much dependent on the quality of the device being used, quality in terms of following ZHA spec that is.
A Z-Wave plus mesh is probably a little less fidgety that the average Zigbee network...
I use the "Device Activity Check" app to let me know if something hasn't reported in. It works very well and the only time anything fell off the mesh, it told me before I saw any issues.
Although it is still too early to tell, around a year ago, I though that Zigbee would be the eventual winner in the protocol "sweepstakes". Around a year ago, Google, Apple and Amazon announced their CHIP initiative which was based (to some extent) on Zigbee, not Zwave.
The lack of any meaningful announcements in the past year could indicate that something big is about to drop, or could indicate that the initiative is close to dead. I suspect the latter.
As a result, I now believe that "it's anyone's game".
Of course, this plays directly to one of Hubitat's strengths - it's flexibility in handling both protocols in a seamless, flexible manner.
For the time being, it does appear that Zigbee has the better sensors(motion, temperature, contact, etc.), and that Zwave has the better switches(from Inovelli, Zooz, Leviton, etc.).

Thanks for pointing that app out. It found one that hadn't reported in since July. Like I said I never really look at them.
I dont disagree....I hope Zigbee isnt (betamax) and Zwave isnt (VHS)
They'll both be superseded with something in the future. Much like x10, but they work great for the here and now.
I think it is the other way around.
