So I figured that I would not have a problem with these since they are fairly common and relatively simple devices.
In my webcore piston, for the device attribute, I don't have "motion" and "battery" options. changed the device to Generic Z-wave motion sensor, but no joy. I would have guessed that "motion" would be a standard feature.
Where should I head from here? Would switching the device to "Jasco Z-Wave Motion Switch, additional preference options added" help at all?
On a side note, I see that someone else has asked if the SmartThings driver was ported. Does Hubitat share a common driver syntax/language?
Are any of the attributes defined for the device in HE? Check the edit device page...does it list motion Active or Inactive? When you sync the device to webCoRE, what attributes do you see?
Thank you. I had some luck with the generic driver after updating the webcore device list and hitting the Configure button (as suggested). Not sure what exactly helped. When I have time I will investigate further.
I was wondering if webcore receives updated device information when the device is re-configured. Or, do I have to go into the webcore app and hit update there as well?
