I intend to use the simple garage door controller as created by Mikhail Diatchenko (@muxa). I am quite a newby to this and can not understand how, or if, I can end up with a device type and template to do it. This set up when done with contacts for both open and closed, (which is what I intend to do), should have four conditions: closed, open, opening, and closing. so on the dashboard I would want all four conditions to be displayed. That way I can see if the door failed without fully opening or closing. But I can not find a template to accomplish this. Am I missing somethiing? or is this somethin that must be accomplished some other way?
Use the Garage Control tile
Such an obvious answer makes me feel dumb. lol. I was confused by the fact that an unknown template appears identical to the unknown state for the garage door. To bad I didn't proceed a little further in my testing. I am just wondering are you actually using the virtual simple garage door Controller app? And if you were if you were using the contact switches option to be sure doors close/open properly?
