Garage door controller to trigger a Hubitat switch?

I'd like to find if there's a way to to use a garage door remote to control a switch that I can fire a rule from. Basically, is there some sort of a receiver that I can hook into Hubitat that would detect when a button on a garage door remote is pressed?

What I'm looking to do is use one of the programmable garage door buttons on my Subaru Outback mirror to be able to signal my presence and disarm the system when I get home. I don't park in the garage so I don't need it to actually open the door but want it to detect that I'm home.

Is there such a thing as a simple garage door receiver that could trigger a relay? Without having to purchase an entire garage door opener?

Would this then feed into a zigbee relay switch

I don’t know if this device is Hubitat compatible.

Thanks for the link. That's the sort of device I had in mind. I just couldn't find anything in my searches. I'll have to do some research and see if it my pair with my car.

My thought exactly that it would feed into some sort of Zigbee contact sensor. That'll be the next step in the puzzle.

That would be perfect if I could get that to work. That gives me something new to search on. It's cheap enough I may buy it just to experiment with.

Thanks.
