I can go unlock the front door and that return packet from the Internet is routed to the tablet and tiles update, so it's NOT the tablet doing something like sleeping the wifi.
The router is obviously giving off the right MAC to those packets. My router has a hard coded DHCP table for everything.
This happens over and over. Then it just starts working. Doing something to make it update a tile (IE - It gets a packet) does not fix this. Turning it on/off does.
This may seam like a dumb question, but can you access the the fully admin page on the android device (ie: http://192.168.15.34:2323) when your getting those http 408 errors?
Fully is great and all but i have seen some weirdness depending on what android device i run it on. I find it works better if i restart the fully app every day. I do this as apart of my wake automation when i turn the screens back on.
When i turn the screens off at night i find fully is happier if I send it a configure command once every few hours.
I have watch dog turned on for all my fully devices in hubitat as well as auto reload for damn near everything and Reset Wifi on Internet Disconnection, so none of this “should” make a difference… but on my network with my devices this is what i find gets fully and hubitat to work together consistently for the longest period of time.
What a great response. THANKS! Good to know I am not alone. Of course, Fully's help desk blamed it on the OS. I have opened a case with the AMZ help desk who will likely do nothing as well.
No, I can't ping or get to the page when local access is down.
Since activity from SharpTools seems to work ...I'm going to try seeing if I can black the screen from the web.
I'm not new to automation...about a decade...but just started using SharpTools...but I'm pretty sure I can figure that out.
This makes sense and points to at least the fully service is not responding on the device.
This may also be correct, keeping apps alive on any mobile os can be tricky.
This is how i keep them alive using RM as far as the daily restart of fully then i just send the configure command a couple times at night after i turn the screens off. It’s probably overkill, but it works for me. I know when i’m out of town and these dont run everyday i always have to put my hands on at least 1 device to get it to behave again.
