I'm seeing something odd w/the "Like" option in the forum, not sure if it's a "just-me" or general issue.
The issue arises when I try to like a post that already has one or more likes. I get this error pop-up when I click on the heart. The heart turns red very briefly and then goes back to disabled, and then this pops up:
The issue appears to be that this is happening when I have already liked a post, but the heart icon isn't showing up red to indicate that. I find that if I refresh the page the Like icon will then fill in red, but the Like count doesn't change. Since the Like count doesn't change, it appears that I must have previously liked the post.
I've tried to replicate the issue by liking a post on my phone and then looking at it on my laptop, but was unable to replicate it - maybe there is a timing issue?
I've never seen that reported before. It's odd. Are you using the Discourse mobile app when that happens or a browser on your mobile device? Cannot think of any reasons why you aren't permitted, but it sounds like there may be a bug in the new Discourse version, maybe?
There's a daily limit to the number of Likes... are you hitting that limit and getting a non-sensical error message? ie the wrong message for an actual error?
I actually had a friend named Mike when that commercial was "going viral" as we now say. After months and months of "Does Mikey like it?!?!" and similar, he was not a happy camper...
