Fluctuating Temp Readings from Generic Zigbee Contact Driver

I have a number of Iris V3 contact sensors that are exhibiting strange temp reporting and swinging wildly. If I provide a reference temperature, it still doesn’t help lock down the number, just gives a different point to swing around. Running 2.5.0.159, tried changing to a different driver and then back, no change. Tried re-pairing device, no change. Only about half of my devices are doing this and seemingly recently, perhaps in the last few weeks. Might correspond with the last firmware update, but not entirely sure. These have been working fine for over a year.

Anyone else seeing this problem and/or have suggestions. Snapshot of logs attached.

I don’t think it’s very likely that a recent hub firmware update would impact the way an old zigbee temperature sensor driver functions.

Since all iris devices are at least eight years old, is it possible some of the sensors are going bad?

Replace the battery.

Odd that it’s 4 sensors at the same time.

Battery changed again to confirm. No change in operation.

Roll back to the previous platform version and see if it stops.

I have a house full of old Iris v2 (oem’d by Centralite) Zigbee sensors. I have contact, motion, and leak sensors that all also report temperature. All are working normally using Hubitat’s built-in Generic Zigbee drivers.

Definitely sounds like your Iris v3 sensors (are those the ones made by Samjin?) might be failing.
