Firmware updates over LR

I recently installed some Zen54 dimmers and used SmartStart to add them in. Everything went fine but when I wanted to update the firmware, it was insanely slow. So I tried to SmartStart them with no security but that didn't work at all. I'm guessing LR devices require some sort of security?

Well, I removed them and added them the old fashioned way with no security and the firmware updates were done in just minutes.

Is there any way to bridge this gap? There is just no way someone who wants to update 5 or more devices could stand to do each one at a time over the course of days.

Yes

No thoughts there. I have updated firmware on 50+ LR devices (on zwave js) with no issues/normal speed. I haven't tried it with legacy/ZIP Zwave.

It's slooooooow... But does work..

All of my ZW is S2 (LR requires it, but I use it on all my mesh devices too).

I've admittedly only ever updated one device at a time, so I have no experience attempting to update multiple devices simultaeously.

But I've successfully updated numerous LR and non-LR devices recently (though not since switch to JS) -- the only gotcha I've discovered is that I need to reboot the hub in between each update attempt -- if I don't, the second update takes forever (~12+ hours).

But otherwise, the update always only take a few minutes for me -- the progress is always steady.

No idea if this is a factor or not, but after I'm done with the update file, I always delete it from the updater app (I save a copy on my own drive) and then remove the updater app from my Hubitat. I only ever install the updater app when I need to use it.

I updated to JS last night. I've got a couple more devices to install so I'll try a firmware update with LR today. JS with no security is pretty reasonable, taking only a minute or 2 for the ZEN54.

Hmmm. None of the LR devices are showing up in the built-in Device Firmware Update App using 2.4.1.151 and JS. They were there with the legacy Zwave.
