Need some help. I have the
Zooz 800 series open close sensor Long range. I also upgraded the firmware on the C8 hub to version 2.3.9 and installed Smartstart. I registered the device when it was close to the hub and it successfully connected. When I install the sensor at the location I need it at which is above 150 feet away from the hub. It does not register any traffic or log anything from that node. In the device listing it has the yellow LR icon which tells me it registered as long range. But does not seem to be working. Did I miss something or do I need to get a zwave repeater to fill in the gap?
No point in a repeater in this case -- LR devices can't see or use them. They talk only to the hub (directly).
I walked down my driveway with my ZSE18 LR motion sensor, and could tell that it dropped out after a certain point. I moved the hub from the window sill to on the wall and got better radio communication.

same issue i am having .. and i opened up a case with zooz. i believe there is an issue with the device.. hopefully they can send out a replacment that works.. oltherwise as you summize lr is a bust.
so its either a hubitat or device issue or too much noise at that frequency.. if zigbee works at that range zwave lr absolutely should in my book according to the specs.
