Hi - is there any way to get the status of my Firestick 4k Max? I have it attached to my Roku TV and I just want to know if the Firestick is playing something. Ie. if it's on standby or screensaver etc for a set amount of time then I want to turn the TV off. I installed Echo Speaks but I think I need an Echo to do anything with that.
Thoughts? (ie Tasker implementation on the firestick?)
It's pretty simple the way i do it... I connect the Firestick power through a Third Reality plug. After some testing (values depend on the driver used) you can determine that (for example) when the screen is on, power draw is >50, when the screen times out and goes black it is 12-14, when the TV power is off, the draw is <1.
I have a rule that if the power is <1 for 30 minutes. I set a virtual contact sensor momentarily on ( exported via the Amazon Echo skill. Then in my Alexa app i have a routine that runs when the virtual sensor triggers, and it powers off the fire TV.

Just saw your note and realized there was a typo on mine... Obviously since power <1 means tv is powered off, that should have stated "between 13-15" (based on values with the driver i use) my actual rule...
