It looks like the FF gods broke the addons section yesterday causing a major issue with nearly all addons disabled. They have tried to fix it via a hotfix but even that isn't working.

Update: To by-pass this bug go to about:config and search for xpinstall.signatures.required and switch to false by double clicking on it.

I enabled that setting this morning and restarted and my plugins got reinstalled. Big mistake by them.

I have to use IE sometimes for work. Every time I load it I can’t imagine how people work off of it.
I’m too dependent on Firefox. Just happy they got the fix out fast. Noticed it last night and just couldn’t bother to look into it.
The fix didn't work for many users. And that studies hotfix only works for downloaded versions and not the supplied versions for linux distros.
So it's a huge mistake on FF side for allowing the signing cert to expire in the first damn place.
