Fire Tablet/Fully Kiosk losses connectivity from hub...but not the Internet

Running Fully Kiosk on both a brand-new fire tablet and an older one as well. I use Hubitat to control them. This issue just starts happing after some period of time.

While SharpTools keeps updating tiles, the tablet itself stops responding to commands sent from the hub. I see 408 errors in the hub log. I see the message sent in the hub log and after a few seconds I see the 408-error come back.

Thanks!

I’ve done all the rebooting routers kind of stuff and don’t see any errors anyway…spent a lot of time Googling... :smiling_face_with_tear:obviously packets from the Internet/SharpTools seem to all get through and work, so it's not a sleeping interface problem.

I can power off and, on the tablet, and it starts working again. Sometimes, it just starts working again on its own.

Frustrated. Been working on this on and off for weeks now.

One idea for you (and this is a total flyer): can you compare the device ID in the device details screen of your FK device on HE to the mac address in your router software? They should match. One time, after swapping tablets, my MACs got out of sync and it created exactly the behavior you described.

Probably not it, but worth a try if you're struggling.

Anything is worth trying!

I saw another post that had mentioned having a special char in the password was causing issues. This morning, I took out the special char on the x.x.x.15 tablet. This message has never been in my log before.

Received data from 192.168.1.15, no matching device found for 192.168.1.15, C0A8010F:E152, null or C0A8010F.

So, at least on this one you may off hit the nail on the head.

I actually have 7 tablets. Three in total give me this problem. 4 of them are brand new. It doesn't map to tablet versions being the problem. So, it makes even more sense something is confused. Beside me

That's good, but to be clear I wasn't not talking about password (let alone the device name or device label). I was referring to the Device ID. See example below. This should be the same as the MAC address in your router.

I have been using Wall Panel in place of Fully Kiosk and have been happy with it. Easier to administer.

Caught that. Thanks.

Everything matches up in the DHCP tables, The routing/switching tables, HE devices IP's and device id's, Tablet device names... thinking I'll just recreate them. But will play a with it a bit longer still.
