Find a failed Zwave device

Hi all,
I have a C7 on 2.4.0 that has been running great then all of a sudden last night the zwave devices have become very slow and/or unresponsive. There are no indications in any logs (zwave or regular), the device and app stats are < 2% usage. There are a few devices without a route but they are battery operated devices that are asleep and haven't caused any problems before. I'm assuming that a device has failed or flooding the network; I have 75ish devices what can I do to ID the offender? I have a UZB stick if that helps. Thanks.

First thing I would do, since it's usually a spammy device that is the cause, is to check the msgs column on Z-Wave Details page..

Hi @bcopeland, thanks and I agree (I just couldn't find a smoking gun in the logs/details), I don't recall seeing anything alarming on that details page but I will look again at that metric specifically after work tonite.

Well, as mysteriously as it started, knock on wood, it seems to have settled down now and devices are responding ok. It was wonky for over 12-16hours something must've straightened itself out. I wish I could've found something so I would know how to fix it.
Question though, if it happens again, how can you determine which device is 'spammy' from the msgs column? The column only shows the last message date/time. Do you just constantly refresh the screen to see which one keeps updating? Or is there another log you're referring to?

Look at the Msgs column.

Huh, I don't have that column, hence my confusion. I'll have to check my settings to see if/why that column is hidden. Thanks.

Well that's weird.
I have no idea if that's a relatively new feature...I'm thinking not.
I couldn't find a way to pick columns to display.
I'm running the latest hub version on a C8Pro.
@bcopeland ?

edit: I should be doing stuff in the yard instead of this, but.....here it is. You need to update your hub:

edit 2: This seems like a good diagnosis tool.

Well, that would do it. It was my plan to update this weekend anyway so I should be covered. Thanks.

Hi guys,
New Hub firmware is loaded and the column now exists

But... now I got an interesting one for you. I got my Zniffer up and running and was monitoring the network just to see if the zniffer works and it was capturing all the traffic I expected. Fortunately the ZW network has been behaving (knock on wood) so I wasn't expecting too much but there was one thing that has me stumped. There is a device that is sending/receiving/routing ZW network traffic just fine that is not listed in my Hubitat ZW device list. It's ID 95(0x5F) so it's not any hidden ID in the hub (that I know of, it's only IDs 1 thru 5) and it's on the correct home ID. Does anyone have an idea on how to locate the device? The Zniffer data doesn't show any type of device ID. And I have no idea what/where it physically is.

Thanks.
