Finally got around to installing these

Finally got around to starting to install my Gledopto flood lights that I bought like 7 or 8 months ago. Was a bit disappointed I wasn't able to change the power cable as it's wired to some kind of power module. Instead I opted just to put on a water proof plug on the 3 of them. Even these 10 watts put out a lot of light and colors seem fairly accurate. Need to play with them more

I assume you're going to use those as some kind of exterior accent lighting? I was thinking about getting some of those myself for that purpose in conjunction with when I ever finally get around to planning out at executing my w l e d exterior lighting project for the eaves.

Yeah, they'll be on the ground behind the hedges but facing the front of the house. They can be placed or mounted in various ways

I have these in my wish list, nice to know someone else here has them, will wait until next summer, hope you post something about long term use. Also would like to see picture of them in use when it's dark and outside. Was juggling between these the Hue that are twice the price.

Are they designed just to sit on the ground, or do they have anything that lifts them off the dirt? Thank you

I can use stakes with them

I have one of these I move around outside for accent lighting. Tho I think I found it’s home on top of a window awning. Have a set of garden spots on the ground.

That was the color scheme when I first decorated for halloween. Since changed with green and purple looks better just don’t have a photo. That and I fixed several inflatables that had very dim LEDs with new ones. They look way better as well.

Ah, so you're on that team. I had a neighbor (sadly deceased now) who went all out for Halloween, was really fun to walk by each year and see the decorations he had put together. Nicely done.

I wanna be the neighbor the other neighbors hate because my house is attracting too much traffic... :stuck_out_tongue:

That is so "me, myself and I" and the spirit of Scrooge is always nearby :frowning:

Kids love this stuff and so do most parents, too bad after all of his work, I would have just let them complain and waited for the law to come shut me down! (I did not read the article yet, but...)

I don't decorate for Halloween but I love to see what other people do. One year a house in my neighborhood had a display with skeletons in lounge chairs with cocktails glasses and a skeleton dog and cat. They kept it up after Halloween and changed it with the holidays. For Thanksgiving, they added a pumpkin turkey. The cat was attacking it and the dog had a bone. The people skeletons had forks and knives. For Christmas, everyone — including the dog and cat — had scarves and Santa hats. I thought it was really clever and I loved walking by that house.

Yea our now 7yr old is obsessed with inflatables. Our front yard is very small and has that hill so that makes it kinda difficult to decorate. We have 20 Halloween, prob 15 Xmas, a few Easter ones, a few 4th of July ones and a turkey haha. And I use several smart plugs to automate them all. He has to be the one to turn them on and help them blow up correctly :man_facepalming:t3: haha.

I'm wrapping up on wiring our porch and put in a lamp post with a Lifx bulb and a smart outlet as well.
