Fibaro Motion Sensor FGMS-001 not recognized

I have a brand new Hubitat C-5. I started learning a couple of devices. As I was learning this motion sensor, which is FGMS-001 ZW5 v3.3, it only shows up as an unknown generic device. Because of this, no config options or events seem to be available. The Hubitat documentation states this device is supported. Help please..

BTW...I have also tried putting Hubitat in secure learning mode for all and tried again. Still only recognized as a generic device.

Troy

Select the device.
Scroll down to the "TYPE" field and click on the field.
From the drop down menu select "Fibaro Motion Sensor ZW5".
Save Device.

Hopefully it should now work for you.

Thanks bobbles. I am new to Hubitat and HA in general. Newly learning how much hand holding this stuff and specifically Hubitat needs.

I'm not sure why it didn't allocated the right "TYPE" to the device it should do really but I've found occasionally things don't always go as we would wish.
At least you know how to get round this in the future.
Is it working OK?

Appears to be working good now. Getting events and device status. Thanks.

Post the information (manufacturer, inclusters, etc) displayed in the data section at the bottom of the screen so they can add that fingerprint to their built-in driver.

Hey Bobbles, can you help me with my Fibaro ZW5? I have 2 and they only remain Active or Inactive, instead of telling me when they detect movement

Just to clarify things, when you walk past them they go active and just stay like that?
Do they never change.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean.

they remain active(like if I keep moving) for 30 seconds then change to inactive (If I just move once) until they detect me once more, But what i need is just a momentary response unless they detect constant movement

I'll have to recheck mine but off the top of my head they go active they remain active for maybe 15 - 30 seconds. Then depending on the config will re-trigger.
To test open the device on your mobile and make sure it shows inactive. Walk in the room and make sure it goes active and then walk out.
Does it then go inactive after a period of time.
I have set mine to re trigger after 30 seconds which sounds suspiciously like you have observed.

Yes I have 30 seconds also, then I think I will have to live with the 30 seconds re-trigger thing.

Thanks for your feedback

No problem.
