@bravenel, The title pretty much says it all. Besides replacing devices in use by a rule, it would be very nice to also be able to replace the Hub Variable in use.

Understood, but this is beyond the capability of the Export/Import/Clone utility. The utility doesn't really know about the internals of specific apps, and Hub Variables are used in many ways. For example, in Rule Machine in a notification, %hub-variable-name% is allowed. So supporting your suggestion would require chasing down every such reference in every app, a daunting task at best, well beyond the intent of clone.
