EZ Dasboard not user friendly

EZ dashboard isn't ready for use yet. There is a big issue that really makes it unusable for remote control of anything on HE. I pull the car intro the driveway and as I am turning off the car, I pick up my iPhone 14 Plus to open the dashboard and unlock the front door or turn on the outside lights. The EZ dashboard icons have two issues. First it is very difficult to confirm that the button was touched. Secondly there is no busy indication on the icons. Even when connected locally, there is still as long as 15 to 40 seconds for the HE to get the response that the door is unlocked and update the dashboard. The standard dashboard pops up a confirmation that you want to unlock (not totally necessary and I would like to not have to) but more importantly, you get a clear indication that it is busy. The EZ dashboard is simply useless as it is nearly impossible to see the screen flutter that indicates being touched and no indication of busy and waiting for response. I have seen people with diabetes (affecting the sense of touch) and just not technically adept use both and the standard dashboard is usable, I can find nobody that thinks this EZ dashboard is usable beyond looking pretty on a 32 inch display.

Earlier poster was right with "Fix the original per what people have been asking for all along. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.". The original dashboard isn't all that difficult to use. I have seen 6 year old kids as well as an 80+ year old who can barely use an iPhone create a HE standard dashboard for their use.

Good luck on any response. I reported back in May how tiles in the first column of several iPhones I tried in my family and my iPad don’t work. I got 1 or 2 inquiries, like version being used, then nothing.

I agree, I have only tried a few things in EZ Dashboards out of curiosity more than anything, and I wasn't impressed. Maybe because I have been a Legacy Dashboard user for so long and have learned a lot of CSS tweaks, it just seems EZ dashboards are way too limited in what you can do, and they are really not easier than basic Legacy, in the end, as I see it.

I'm one who would would also like Legacy Dashboards improved instead of continued work on EZ dashboards. We got drag and drop tiles finally for legacy, but even that functionality is a bit buggy, especially if using small tile blocks to make different sized tiles. Tiles that span multiple rows and columns don't want to drop for me, so I find that feature useless, even though it was finally delivered to us after many requests.

The problem with no visual response to a pushed tile exists in the Legacy Dashboards as well. I've been using virtual switches with a quick auto off as buttons on my dashboards, to get a visual response from the button push, and then I just react to the "on" command and ignore the off to use it as a button. It shouldn't have to be like that.
