Extra C-5

So, I just ordered a C-7 to replace my C-5 since I wanted the S2 feature.

Now, what to do with the C-5? Can I use it as a supplement or re-enforcer, or something?

Thanks -

You can use the new c7 for z-wave and use hub mesh to connect it to your c5 that will run all other things (apps, WiFi and zigbee). This way you can reduce load from each hub.
This is what I do.

What @amithalp says! That's what I am doing, C-7 for the Z-Wave stuff and C-5 for zigbee.. I actually have an additional C-5 that I am using for cloud/network apps and devices as well.

Use the HubMesh feature to "share" devices as needed between the 2 hubs.

That sounds like a good idea. Would I have to move my Z-Wave devices from the C-5 to the C-7 one by one, excluding as I go? That would be a challenge!

Make a backup first - then you could use the migration service to migrate over to the C-7 and delete the zigbee devices on the C-7. I've never used the service but if it removed the devices on the C-5 you could restore from backup and delete the Z-Wave devices... again I have never done this so am not sure..
