Esp Easy Support (Switch & Sensors) HTTP

Hey guys,

I'm new here. Just ordered my C7. Moving up from a veralite with some hardcore PLEG experience. Cant say anything bad about those experiences. Just that for a while now the verlalite's tiny resources cant keep up with my ever growing projects.

I have several Sonoffs flashed with Esp Easy. I have been using these flawlessly with Vera now for about 2 years. I have an http plugin in vera that sends on/off commands to the sonoff's relays. The sonoffs then send their sensor data back to a virtual sensor device in the vera via http command. Its a pretty simple design and it works.

I have searched the forums but cant seem to find any solution. Does anyone have any experience with this?

if not, would i be able to leave the sonoffs on the vera and still have a way to pull sensor data to hubitat + control the virtual htttp switch from hubitat?

trying to plan ahead here for when I get my hub.

thanks!

If I understand your setup correctly, you should be able to do similar using the Maker API app within Hubitat that also uses HTTP requests. You will just need to install it, Next, create a virtual switch or sensor for each physical Sonoff device and authorize those virtual devices in the Maker API app. Finally, you can create a series of rules to send HTTP Requests to change the Sonoff switch. Maker API also has HTTP Requests that your Sonoff will send to Hubitat to update data for the sensors.

Search for "Maker API" on the forums. You will find a ton of helpful threads.

@user3115 Welcome to Hubitat! Since you are new, take a gander at this link. It may help avoid some gotchas. A lot of people here use similar stuff. I think @aaiyar may have some (@aaiyar please correct me if I'm wrong)
