Error installing Kasa through HPM

Ok, new to Hubitat, and from what I've seen in the community, I'm on the wrong tail end of the programming knowledge level, so apologies if this is basic.

I can't get David G's Kasa to install. I keep getting a login error.

" Error logging in to hub

An error occurred logging into the hub. Please verify your Hub Security username and password."

I started setting up my hub this morning. Paired with a smartthings water sensor, no prob. THought maybe I should enable the user login, so I set a username and pw. I installed the HPM to get to the Kasa integration. When the hubitat rebooted, I couldn't get back into, so I went through the portal and disabled the login requirement. Still no joy installing the kasa integration. Thoughts on what I did and how to fix it? Also, is there a list of best practices regarding security and network setup? I'm not strong on the IT side. Thanks!

You can install the integration manually while you figure out the issue with HPM (I think that is where the problem is, but, outside my lane).

Look in the HPM settings, you will have to enter your hub's security info (or remove). It's just because HPM can't access the hub to do what you asked it to do (install Kasa).

I would give you screen shots but not home at the moment.
