I followed the instructions for intergrating my dsc alarm to my c8 hub through my Envisalink 4 module. I have the contact sensors on my dashboard. My problem is they don’t reflect star changes when a door or window is open and closed in my house. The dashboard remains in the same state. I wasn’t sure if I missed something in the setup and configuration stage. Thanks.
I’m not an owner of the Envisalink - so am curious: Is it a single device with a properly for each contact sensor, or does each contact sensor appear as an individual device in Hubitat?
When you open/close those sensors, I assume their state is correctly reported on the Device screen?
Assuming that the prior statement is accurate, what template are you using for the device(s) in the dashboard?
Thank you so much for responding, I’m new to hubitat so I may not use the naming conventions correctly. Saying that, I ran the procedure listed from a guy who left the platform but he left setup instructions to integrate the device into hibitat. Once you add the integration you then add your zones as they appear in the Envisalink app and assign each zone with a virtual contact sensor then you allow your dash board access to those zones and add them to your dashboard and they appear fine there. They do not however change state on the dashboard when you open or close a contact sensor. So I’m thinking on the individual zone configuration I’m missing something. They are shown as individual devices in hubitat. I’m using the contact sensor for each device template but I wonder if that is wrong.
Contact sensor should be the right template, but since it isn’t working, you could try door status or attribute, then pick from the listed options.
