Hi Folks,
Is it possible to select/mark as “default” a dashboard and each time when mobile app gets active (on launch or app moved into active state) to go straight to this dashboard?
Will be VERY useful especially when in the car and need to do something very fast.
Best,
Teodor
There is the option to use a custom dashboard in the mobile app but you have to click on the dashboard menu after you open the mobile app to get there.
Not sure if your android or Apple but on Android I have a widget on the home screen that takes me directly to the dashboard I want. Bypassing the app altogether. I would guess that Apple probably has some way to do the same thing.
I strongly support this. There should be a way to set (configure) the app to boot up
In a designated (home) dashboard.
If it’s configurable no harm to folks that don’t want to do this.
In the iPhone app (should be similar on Android), if you go to the “Dashboards” screen, go to the dashboard you want to load automatically, click on the cog on top.
Then copy the “Current URL:”, select “Enable Geofence” and paste the URL to the Custom Dashboard.
When you open the app, it should remain on the last screen and this will be the dashboard you selected by default.
Would this do what you are looking for?
This will work on Android as long as the app doesn't get shut down.
This should have been default. Also an option to load a default dashboard when I hit the dashboard option. I only have one and its a two step process - very annoying.
No I mean a simple click to setup a default. Why over complicate it.
Also as op pointed out, there should be an option to load the dashboard page at default
I don't see how that's overly complicated but ok.
As for a simple "one click" to open a dashboard, just put a link to the dashboard on your device. I have them setup on both mine and my brides. Works great.
I think you are overcomplicating this.
Why can I simply and easily select a default. Every time I want to change I need to copy and paste...this is not efficient. So easy to have options....to lazy or dont care enough to implement.
I personally prefer how it's currently set-up as it's extremely versatile. I can point my "starting dashboard" to anything accessible with a URL. I sure hope they don't change it.
Seems this functionality was just added in the app. closing the topic.
How is this supposed to work? If I turn it on it only shows the dashboard menu, not a particular dashboard.
