Enhancement request for Lutron Pico driver

This has bitten me a few times...OK, I know doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is crazy

I have bought a bunch of Pico remotes. They are 5 buttons. The Lutron Pico driver defaults to 2 buttons. I always forget to go to the device and update to 5 buttons, because the device is automatically created by the Lutron Integration. Then when I try to use the remote, pressing the up/down/middle buttons cause errors, which at first seems like the remote is just not working until I delve deeper.

Is there not a way for the device driver to determine how many buttons the remote has based on the device type?

Feel your pain....under slightly different circumstances.

My Lutron picos were initially setup with the 5 buttons (probably because they were added since February). However, when I recently opened the driver page to change the timing for held events, I didn't realize that the button number preference was defaulted to 2. So...when I saved my setting, the pico was inadvertently changed to a 2 button. I wasted quite a bit of time troubleshooting one of my apps because I thought I broke something, before realizing what had happened.

 Caught me just this morning.

It would be nice, in the Lutron App, when adding a new Pico if it asked you then how many buttons the remote had. That way, when the Pico remote device is created, it would already have that setting set.

This is an unintended default setting in the Lutron Pico Driver, the default value should be 5, not 2.
This will be updated in the next version.

I'll discuss this internally.
