Hello
I am total new to Hubitat but so far it seems pretty straight forward. I installed an Enbrighten 43084 toggle light switch and it works fine as hardware switch. After several attempts I also got it to pair with the Hub. However, I tried selecting all kind of switches as device type (staring with GE Zigbee Switch) but it does not switch anything. What am I missing?
Thank you all in advance for pointing me in the direction.

These should pair pretty much instantly. The insert (directions) should say what combination of button presses are required to reset and pair the switch. I would just reset the switch, then start Zigbee pairing on the hub and immediately put the device in pairing mode. It will be recognized by the hub as a previously joined device. Btw, whenever the device driver is changed, you have to hit “configure” on the device page. This isn’t necessary to do when joining a device as the device is automatically configured for the default driver, which should be the GE Zigbee switch driver in this case. After you’ve done this, you should see changes from the switch show on the device page and also be able to control the switch from the device page. Also, I would be cautious with adding too many of these newer Zigbee 3.0 GE switches/dimmers because they don’t seem to be as well behaved as the older model. Just from my own observations and a couple very upset posts I have read. As always YMMV.
Thank you. I will try resetting it and try again.
I added other devices like smart outlets and they configured themselves but this one just stops at the “initializing” step.
I can rename it later but as I said it does not integrate correctly.
Maybe I have to switch to innovelli. This is the only Enbrighten device I have.
How far is it from the hub and what Zigbee outlets have you added? I’ve had certain Zigbee outlets cause problems by not sending the configuration packets properly.
I have one of these (the dimmer) and it pairs instantly, so it’s likely an issue with your mesh that you need to fix before you have more problems. Try rebooting the hub and then pairing the switch.
It’s only about 2 ft. They are in the same room. I will try to fiddle with it a little more tomorrow
I would unplug the repeaters and try it. It doesn’t matter that it’s only a couple feet away if you have bad repeaters that are in range. It could still be routing through them as I found out a couple years ago.
Hi
Thank you. It works now. I factory reset the switch. Cut the power for a few minutes and restarted the hub. I also unplugged my 4 smart zigbee outlets and then it worked. In will try the z wave variant next. I hope it will work better.
Thanks the support and the tips.
