Emulating Flashing for lights

Hi all

I am considering writing a rule to emulate flashing, triggered from the state of a virtual switch.
This will be for a Panic or Alarm mode.

Has anyone done this using RM Repeat, Delay and probably Boolean?

I have an app I wrote a long time ago called (suprisingly) ‘Flasher’ and ported it from ST to HE some time ago It was pretty basic in how it works I’m looking at updating it soon but you can have a play if you want. This does not require any special feature of the switch or bulb and just basically turns them on/off a configurable number of times. http://hubitat.uk Andy

Our built-in drivers for dimmers and bulbs include flash command. Not all devices support flash. In some cases the driver does it. You may want to check your devices first before going the route of creating an app to do it. If the driver supports flash command, it will be on the device details page.
