Empathetic contact sensor?

I have two "recessed" contact sensors on 2 different doors in different parts of my house. One is a monoprice , and the other is an aeotec. Both are using the "generic z-wave contact sensor" handler in hubitat.

So here's what's weird- Lately, if I open and then close the sliding door in my kitchen, which has the monoprice sensor on it, the aeotec sensor on my front door reports as open and stays that way until I open and close the front door. This doesn't happen every time, but frequently.

This is new behavior. These sensors have been in place for years without this happening. I'm puzzled as to how it can even happen. Any ideas? Thx.

Temporarily Iā€™d change those to the Ring Contact Sensor driver. There have been a number of issues with battery powered contact sensors due to some changes that were made around battery reporting (fix should be in 2.2.5).

Thanks for the tip, but neither of the 2 ring contact sensor handlers seem to work for me.

My hub seems to be orphaned on 2.2.2.129. Every time I try upgrading past that a bunch of stuff breaks, so I gave up.

If you are way back on 2.2.2 there is no need to try the Ring drivers - that was to work around an issue in 2.2.4 with battery reporting.

Any other ideas here? This bug is ruining my whole setup. Every time... no worse than that, about 1/2 the time when I open and close my kitchen slider, to let the dog in or out, my front door reports as "open" until I go over to it and open/close it.

I've finally managed to upgrade my hub to 2.2.5.131. Would the ring drivers potentially now help?
