If someone could comment please. Basic rule not turning off after elapsed time. What am I doing wrong.
What do the logs say? Is there any chance the button is being pushed repeatedly?
Also, you meant to wait for 8 hr 10 min (sorry, 8 min 10 s), right? Asking because it seems a bit odd, so if you meant 8:10 PM instead, you want to use "Wait Until," not "elapsed time."
A description of the what you want the automation to accomplish is often helpful.
No errors or warnings in logs. All goes on with no issue. Live logs never show off.
Isn’t it minutes. 8 and seconds 10. Just picked random elapsed time.
What I’m trying to accomplish is an automation that once a button is pushed specific hue lights will be set to a color and intensity in my three children’s rooms for a period of time then shut off.
Sorry, yes, whatever the UI says. Just wanted to make sure that was the intent.
I second the advice above to see what Logs say for this automation. Enable them first if you haven't.
So earlier ran this app and didn’t turn off. No errors.
Ran app a second time and all ran well turned off.
Last run got log warn error communicating with hue bridge. HTTP 408. Which I occasionally see with two of the six bridges I have connected to my network.
