I’m using the ecowitt wifi gateway driver…the post on the driver page must be a 1000 pages long…so sorry for just posting here…but…
It might have happened a couple times in the last year…but suddenly I getting warning that it’s exceeding 300 messages an hour daily. I don’t see any adjustments…is there something I can do?
I hate to say it… but which Ecowitt driver? There are a couple.
In any case, you can up the limit on the Device Info page (screenshot, circled in red). It is a Hubitat feature, so it exists regardless of the driver you are using.
You can always check your Logs page on the Device Stats tab to see if it really is bogging down your Hubitat or not. There are many drivers that can receive a ton of data from their respective sensors (especially if things change a lot in a short period of time) and weather-related drivers can often return a bunch of different data. It can also be impacted by their refresh interval or how often the sensor sends data to the Hubitat directly. In most of these cases the threshold can be a bit too low in my opinion.
Please post your question in the appropriate thread for whichever ecowitt driver you are using (there are at least 3) because developers follow threads they create for their apps/drivers.
