Ecowitt GW1100 with moisture devices WH51

I just installed 3 WH51 devices and one GW1100 hub. It works fine on my phone. I then installed Ecowitt WiFi Gateway driver from Simon Burke on HE.

It is installed for more than one hour and it still says Status = Sensor sync pending. I read another message in the forum who said he clicked Debug and then Error and it worked. Tried it and same message. I don't see the results from the 3 devices. Any idea ?

Did you go into the phone app and create the send to the hub as a DIY Upload Server - Customized?

???? No because I don't know where to do it :slight_smile: Please tell me :wink:

Click the three dots on upper right of app
Click "Others"
Click "DIY Upload Servers"
Click "Customized"

Protocol Type Same As -> Ecowitt
Server IP -> the IP of your hub
Path -> /data
Port -> 39501

I use an upload interval of 60s (one minute). Any less than that and you get too many events sent to the hub.

Wow thank's a lot. Put 5 minutes delay and I'll see and let you know. I probably did not read enough on the forum ????

I now get ONE status:

Nothing else !

It creates devices on the fly, when they get new data. So if your sensors have not changed yet, you will not see anything. You could dip you sensors in a glass of water for a bit to force them to send data.

You will see child devices created under the Ecowitt Wifi Gateway Parent Device, one for each sensor. You can rename the child devices how you want.

Here are mine:

Thank you so much!

I just wanted to chime in with a big Thank You for this reminder! I recently migrated from a C-7 to a C-8 Pro and my IP address changed. My Ecowitt weather station has been stuck in la la land for a couple weeks. It was as simple as updating the IP address in the Ecowitt app on my phone. This community is excellent!
