Ecolink TILT-ZWAVE5 battery reporting

A lot of people say theirs shows 100% all the time. Mine shows 1% even with a brand new battery. Anyone have a solution for that?

I'm using the built-in "Generic Z-Wave Motion/Temperature Sensor" driver on platform version 2.4.4.156 on a 8 Pro.

Thanks,

Jay

I have an older Ecolink tilt sensor model version 2.5 that runs fine using a "Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor" driver. I just checked and Hubitat does have a "Ecolink Garage Door Tilt Sensor" driver that you could also try.

In the docs under compatible devices, Hubitat lists the "Ecolink Garage Door Tilt Sensor" driver for the Tilt-Zwave5. I will stay on the Generic Contact Sensor driver since it is running fine.

Seems to work, but the battery still shows 1% all the time. Must be a problem with the hardware. Thanks for your reply though.

I also use the "Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor" driver which works fine. Still showing 100% battery.

The benefit of the Ecolink Garage Door Tilt Sensor driver is that you can configure the open and close angle.

I find that battery level is never reliable using many of the available apps and device stats. My low batter detect is when the device stops working reliably, replace the battery. Yours reporting 1% all the time is somewhat concerning as I have several ecolink contacts and never saw that. I would mark this as defective.
