Ecobee

Gotta general question, if anyone has any experience. I will dig into Ecobee support as well, but figured it wouldn't hurt.tonask the experts. Looking to add another ecobee to an upstairs unit, bit the existing wiring is different as it is an old mercury thermostat. Image below, but anyone knows, can this existing wiring work without using the included adapter that has to be installed at the unit????

You'll need the PEK to be installed at the air-handler/furnace, unless there's another conductor hidden in the wall. You currently have:

Rc (jumped to Rh)
Y (blue) (call for cool)
W (white) (call for heat)
G (green) (blower/fan)
