I'm currently using the Ecobee Suite Manager instead of the built in app. It accounts for 47% of busy in my logs. I have a C8 Pro hub. I'm getting about one "Hub load is severe" message a day and it's the only thing I can find (with my limited overload trouble shooting skills) that even looks wrong in the logs.
If I remember correctly, I had to load that instead on the built in app to be able to control my humidifier. When I look in the docs for the built in app I do not see controlling a humidifier listed.
Can someone please confirm that? Also, if there is any other custom app that might be able to manage this... a link to that?
The problem is that the metric you mentioned is derived from another derived metric. The question is what is the total busy of the hub. If the hub total busy is only 2% then 47% of that leave allot left over.
That said what is your ecobee suite refresh interval set at. It should be 1 min based on best practice from berry.
If you are getting that message about once a day is it consistant with about what time it happens. Maybe there is something scheduled causing it to be high.
The Built in Ecobee driver is ok, but is is lackin allot of functionality that Ecobee suite has. For instance when i reserached this as well what made me stop looking at it was the inability to start a given thermostat Program/Mode if it isn't one of the default ones.
It's counterintuitive but the developer has said that 1 minute polling is actually the best since there is so much info to process from the ecobee API that doing it more often results in smaller updates and less processing. I have mine at 1 minute.
