Echo Speaks not working with Echo Show 5 Gen 1

Hi I just installed echo speaks and I can make announcements to my echo dots but not my echo shows. I have the 1st gen echo show 5. They do show up under devices.

Any ideas?

I have one Echo show Gen 1 and it works fine. So not sure why yours would not. Look in the device protection section and make sure it's not blocked, maybe.

Mine shows up exactly as yours. But it is a show 5 not 10 like yours. Whats the device protection section?

ah it works now. I had do not disturb on. I put it on all my show 5s to try and stop it advertising crap to me!
