I am using the Echo Speaks apps for various announcements... like when doors are opened and closed and when the alarm system is armed and disarmed. Recently every time Alexa says something from the Hubitat there is a faint beep at the beginning and end. This only happens when Alexa says something from Hubitat so I think it may be an issue with Echo Speaks. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution?
are you using speak or Announce?
It does it with both.
Mine does not, and I give it similar use as you state.
Well I’m not sure why it started doing it. Nothing changed as far as settings or new devices. Maybe it will stop the same way it started... randomly without any intervention...
SOLVED! I had all my announcements set to adjust the volume to a certain level before making the announcement. For some reasons now whenever the volume is changed Alexa beeps. I turned off the volume change before announcements and the problem is solved. I still don’t like it when Alexa beeps with volume changes and this definitely has not always happened with my devices. It started randomly. Apparently I am not the only person experiencing it and hopefully they will update this beeping feature to be a setting that can be turned on and off.
