Both have been working flawlessly but both stopped working on my C-8. I tried to repair Echo Speaks with Package Manager and I got Unexpected Error. Help!
That error is saying the hub cannot reach api.amazon.com, would not cause any issues with HPM. May be making echo speaks unable to talk to your echo devices at the moment. Amazon might just have a server down in your area or something, it happens.
What exact error did you get from HPM?
Have you updated echo speaks recently? New version just dropped.
Both individuals are on point (as usual). If you did install the new version 4.3.0.1 you may need to wait for tonesto7 to chime in or wait for these guys or others much smarter than I am to look at the code and chime in.
Do you use the CLOUD backup service? If so you could do a restore using a backup prior the the upgrade (if that is what you did). You would be back to where you were before the update. I do this all the time. Within 2 minutes you are back to where you were before the issue started. It really is a game changer.

Now I can't connect to the hub at all.
Not at the hup IP address.
Not through the diagnostic portal IP.
Not through the remote app.
I don't know what to do next.
This all just occurred spontaneously.
I didn't change anything.

What color is the LED?
Wifi or ethernet?
First I would verify the IP has not changed somehow if the router or hub got rebooted. You can check the router client list, or the Hubitat Portal, registered hubs.
If all else fails, sometimes you just have to yank the power out to reboot it. Should not happen often so if it is a reoccurring thing it would be cause for concern.
Somehow the IP on the router changed back to 192.168.1.110 again. I set it to fixed at 192.168.1.10
So, I'm back in. I will try some stuff and report back.
Thanks for helping!
Welp. Everything is back to normal.
I was able to restore from a backup. Update the platform and update Echo Speaks. Everything is working again,
Thanks for the helpful comments,
This can happen (IP address change on the hub) if the hub or your router are rebooted and you don't have a fixed IP (IP reservation) set on your router (best way) or fixed IP set on your hub (available, but really best to do an reservation for your hub on your router).
I assume you mean just now. Good idea, assuming you set a fixed IP/IP reservation for the hub on your router - that is is the best way to go.
Thanks for the comment!
I had the UDMP set to 192.168.1.10 for the C-8 since I first set it up about a year ago. I don't know what happened. Good to know that I just have to fix the IP on the UDMP alone and not the C-8 also.
