It's a bit of a niche device, but are there any drivers for the Echo Connect or any interest in developing any?
For those not familiar with it, the Echo Connect is a 2.4Ghz WiFi-connected add on to the Alexa ecosystem. It effectively gives Alexa a connection to control a land-line phone (and that last part is why it's rather niche). Using it, Commands can be given to Alexa to dial a number. Alexa can also identify callers if they match an Alexa contact and will announce the name of the caller.
Amazon still supports, but has rather forgotten the accessory. It's so forgotten the web interface has to be used when setting it up or changing the WiFi (can't be done via the Alexa app). I've often wondered if anyone had toyed with it. It would be interesting to see if it could be used as a WiFi-based dialer or could be accessed to see a log of callers.
