So, I FINALLY wanna get my hue bridge out of my zigbee network. I have 15 or so bulbs and 4-button-dimmers on it. What's the easiest way to remove all of them and add them to hubitat?
I did 3 already w/the "remove from bridge, add to hubitat, reassign driver, reassign room" method.
I'm not sure about the "reassign driver" thing (it should pick the best driver on pairing; if it doesn't, can you share the fingerprint from Logs here, using the Device driver to get it if it's not printed in Logs already?). But other than that, it sounds about right. You won't be able to use conveniences like "Swap Device" with Hue integration devices since they are child devices of the parent app, and the tool intentionally does not work with this kind of specialized relationship.
Along those lines: you didn't say anything about swapping the devices out in apps, but I'd add that to the list if you are actually using them in automations, too.
i had 3 dimmers on a Hue bridge and used the Hue app to remove them from the bridge.
Once removed I powered down the bridge and they then paired ok to my HE hub.
I was hoping there was a way - since I am ASSUMING hubitat has something akin to the zigbee id of the bulb - that there was a way to "mass import" a collection like mine.
ps: my bulbs are controlled under groups in hubitat and all turn on or off at sunset/sunrise and have no other automations.
Yeah. I have a hue dimmer ... and have done this on a Hue Bloom. It's just a pain to move more than 15 devices to hubitat. I was hoping there was an easier way.
