Duplicate Device?

I’m trying to troubleshoot Room Lighting and noticed in the logs that there appears to be a duplicate device. Originally, I saw two devices in the Logs named “Primary Bathroom Shower Light”, but when I go to Devices, I only see one. I renamed the one I see in Devices to “Primary Bathroom Shower Light (Hue)”, and now the Logs show “Primary Bathroom Shower Light” and “Primary Bathroom Shower Light (Hue)”. I don’t understand why I don’t see both in Devices. How can I troubleshoot this?


Past logs retain old stuff for a while until it eventually clears itself out over time (I don't know details of how/why/when).

Was that device added recently? If so, were there multiple attempts to add it (where you named it the same thing)? That would explain why it's showing up duplicated in the logs, but only once in the device listing.

No, the device was created three months ago. I don’t recall if there were multiple attempts.

In Past Logs, if you go to the plain "Primary Bathroom Shower Light", what activity is listed -- any clues there?

My bad…the Room Lighting app is called “Primary Bathroom Shower Light”…I realized that when I saw the “Active”. I guess it would be better to use unique names so this doesn’t happen again.
