Does anyone have a driver that will work for this TZ43 thermostat?
The generic one looks good but won’t control any functions.
Which functions?
Did you click configure after you used the driver?
On the device page shows functions like heating mode cooling mode fan only mode.
Things that a thermostat would do. But none of them are clickable in the device.
Do I need to put it into the dashboard so I have an interface to operate it?
I don’t see a configure button like on some other drivers.
Change the type (driver) to 'Generic Z-wave Thermostat', save, then hit configure. See if that works. You have the component driver selected.

@bjcowles is correct.
Also, to reiterate what he said, make sure you don’t pick the “Generic Z-Wave Plus Thermostat” driver - it won’t work properly with this device. But the “Generic Z-Wave Thermostat” driver will.
