Downgrade from C8 to C5

I am sorry to announce that I have had to go back to my C5 hub from my C8 because a allot of my devices kept dropping off, I would re-pair a device then another would drop out, my living room bulb are AwoX Zigbee, they have been working on my C5 for well over a year with no problems, my C5 is 98% reliable and being disabled Hubitat is a lifeline for me from electric automatic door and Danalock, I have Zemismart blinds/curtains motor, motion lighting, I have even got a electro magnetic lock on my outside gate it is plugged in to a zigbee plug and I've got Xiaomi contact sensor on my gate as well, I have had that set up for over 2 years all through Hubitat C5 with no problems, I will try my C8 again but not for a long time, please sort the C8 out Hubitat.

Sorry you're having issue. I assume you did a migration. I would have you try resetting the hub to scratch and then adding devices to see if it's more reliable for you as the majority of people having problems are due to the migration. That said, the amount of people having issue is relatively small given the amount of c8's out there but of course you really only see the people with problems not the people who's c8's are fine. I myself have had no real issues with the c8 as the majority of people don't. But anyway, back to your issue, is it zigbee or z-wave that is dropping off? If zigbee and if you don't want to factory reset the whole hub, I would delete all zigbee devices from hubitat, then reset the zigbee radio then readd the devices back in after factory resetting each device. Prior to doing this make sure that your radio is on a clear channel not being interfered with by wifi or another zigbee coordinator and lower power to 8 and see how things go.

Thank you for your advice, yes it is zigbee I am having issues with, I will try what you said and let you know how I get on.

Awesome. Would be a good additional datapoint for the support team as well. Delete the devices in hubitat first before resetting the radio... I've noticed that just resetting the radio doesn't clear the hubitat database itself.

Wouldn't he lose all his Automations if he follows that step, Might want to suggest adding virtual devices as placeholders and use Swap Apps Device to accomplish that.
