DoorSense on Yale Assure Lock 2 (Z-Wave)

I switched to the August driver, and I can see the "contact" field, but in my brief testing it seems to always show "closed". Were you successful in seeing the status change from close to open (or vice versa)?

In looking at this closer, it looks like it may not be working consistently. I definitely see 'open' events in the device logs, but in direct testing it isn't working very consistently

I have managed a small workaround for anyone that has home assistant as well as hubitat. The home assistant Yale Bluetooth integration found my assure lock 2, and the contact information does pass on to home assistant through this integration as well.

Hubitat doesn't have Bluetooth of course. So there are a couple of options. My method is using the HACS Hubitat integration to link my Hubitat devices into Home Assistant, create a virtual contact sensor, pass that sensor over to HA, and then create an automation in HA linking the two.

A second option would be to create a virtual contact sensor, and expose it to the maker.api app within Hubitat. Then in HA create two automations, one for open, another for close, that will send an HTTP request to the maker API app accordingly.

A third option, likely the easiest, Install the Home Assistant Device Bridge App found within the HPM, and simply link the HA contact sensor to Hubitat through here. No automations needed to use this one.

And then you'll have the contact sensor info provided to Hubitat (via HA) for any automations you are trying to create.
