Hi. Just starting off with a C7 and once I've gained a little confidence will migrate a load of Z Wave devices from my now unsupported Vera Edge.
Always wanted a doorbell that could send a notification to my phone - what's the easiest / best way to do that?
Appreciate that without subscription my phone would have to be attached by Wi-Fi .
I would just like a reliable sound/vibration to come from my phone when the Aeotec Doorbell 6 is triggered by the Button.
(the Doorbell 6 is already paired up and receiving event triggers from Button just fine).

And playing the tone you want for as long as you want and stopping when you want? Then you're doing better than I ever managed with mine (though I am not using the button, if that is what makes the difference) 
yes, seems to be but very early days.
I don't seem to be able to stop the led flashing after Button depressed though...!
Going to get a bit busy with it and see what happens but getting a notification to a phone would be real nice.
In general terms what I'd look at doing to achieve what you want is writing a rule where the button press is the trigger. Then the two actions listed would be to sound the doorbell device and send a notification to the phone. I use pushover for notifications as I find it more flexible and reliable, but there are built-in notification commands and apps. Or you could leave out the action for sounding the bell if that already is taken care of behind the scenes.

The led stopped (somehow/eventually) but that needs a bit of time to sort it.
Generally I just need to get familiar with the interface.
I have a new motion sensor arriving later today (Aeotec MS 6) so will pair and see if I can get rules doing something useful.
No subscription necessary, as long as the Hubitat app can reach the internet you'll get notifications on your registered device.

I never even thought about the notifier app with my sage doorbell detecter. I just through a pushover into button controller.I guess I never realized notifier had button detection capabilities. So many way to accomplish the same thing.
