Door opening, lights on

I need help on my idea, i want, when i open the main door or the apartment, the lights(4-5 spot lights) of the hole to turn on automatically for some minutes.
What products will you recommend me to take?
I was thinking to take :
GE Z-Wave Plus Smart Lighting Smart Dimmer Switch
For controling the lights (spots of hole)
and or a sensor or door sensor for the hole.

Yes, GE z wave switch and a contact, maybe Dome or monoprice z wave to use the switch repeating capabilities. In Rule machine you do the magic. All depends your location.

What do you mean all depends my location?

Where are you located? In the US you can get very good prices, just that.

OP is in Greece (based on another thread he created).

@anastasiosworld as I mentioned in that thread, z-wave devices run on different frequencies in different parts of the world. So you need to look for devices that will work on the EU z-wave frequency. In addition, since youā€™re talking about electrical switches, you would need to confirm that any device youā€™re looking at is intended to be used with your countryā€™s electrical mains voltage. In your case, I assume thatā€™s 220V like most of Europe, but honestly I donā€™t know.

In Greece is 220 V/50 Hz..
I was searching in the website of z-wave, and i could not found any contact form so i could ask them for their devices..

Not sure which website you are referring to.

I canā€™t personally recommend it (since Iā€™m in the US), but the site vesternet.com sells EU z-wave devices throughout Europe (I think). And they have a ton of how-to articles that cover a wide variety of home automation topics and would be helpful to review if you are new to all of this.

Thank you! i was looking at z-wave .com, but now i found zwaveproducts .com and they have contact us, why do they have so many websites? i will take a look vesternet and contact them..

Could you recommend me which company devices work better with hubitat? i mean userfriendly? because my knowledge on this is 0..

z-wave is a communications protocol. Many manufacturers can develop devices that conform to the standard, and many retailers can sell those products on their websites. there is no single website for everything z-wave.

to find a device that works with hubitat, consult the "supported devices" page in the documentation section of the site, docs.hubitat.com. If a device is listed, that may or may not mean that there is a version of the device that works in the EU.

Ohhh its a protocol.. i thought it was a company like zigbee  thank you for your info!

zigbee is another wireless protocol/standard with many different manufacturers that make devices compliant to the standard. Unlike z-wave, zigbee works on the 2.4 GHz frequency worldwide, so if a zigbee device works in the US, the same device will work in the UK, Greece, Australia, wherever.

So then the i would take zigbee type for sure/safe..
Could you tell me what i need to make my idea work? i want when i open the door, the 4-5 spot lights smoothly dimmly turn on for some minutes. What devices i need?

and for an extra, what if i want to play a specific sound when the door is open? for example a voice that welcoming..

@vjv mentioned it above. Youā€™d need a dimmer and a contact sensor. Iā€™m sorry, Iā€™m not sure I can be more specific than that because I have no idea whatā€™s available to you in Greece.

As for speech announcements. Do you have Sonos, google home or amazon Alexa speakers in Greece?

No i dont have, and am not intrest to give commands through alexa.. i only need to do automatically.

You could also use a motion sensor, watching/sensing the opening door and a Google Home Mini for making TTS announcements.

Some motion sensors are combined with light sensors and temperature sensors and are called Multi-sensors.

Sorry but I have no idea what makes are available in Greece.

And what device i need to control the speakers of the wall? For example when the door opens, play a specific mp3?

Sorry but youā€™ll need to provide some more information.
Are your speakers always powered and connected to the network ?
Where is your mp3 file going to be stored ?

The speakers could turn on with spot lights when the door is open..as i understand for this idea, i have to have a computer turned on 24/7.. so it could read the mp3 right?

Could i store it at usb and put it on hubitat?

I have ordered EU version, so i will begin..
