I am looking for a door bell camera compatible with hubitat. currently I have a ring door bell camera. any inputs?

I have a Unifi G4 Doorbell Pro. Unifi has a newer version that also works with their access app.

The big question is what do you mean by compatible with Hubitat. Technically habitat isn't really compatible with any camera device. What are you wanting the camera and hubitat to do together? Just motion events? Doorbell notifications?

There’s a built-in driver for Hikvision cameras but I agree that in general there’s not much in terms of built-in camera compatibility for the hub.

Also agree that compatibility with respect to cameras means different things to different people.

For a doorbell, presumably one would expect notifications of button pushes at the very least.

Some people want video tiles on a dashboard, which isn’t impossible but isn’t always easy either.

Depending on how kludgy a solution you’re willing to consider, almost any doorbell that supports an open standard like ONVIF can probably be integrated with the hub for button push events, though an intermediary server running something like Scrypted could be necessary.

If the camera can send webhooks in response to events, that’s a potential integration point with Hubitat via Rule Machine too.

I used to use the BI community app a long while ago, but ultimately took out my BI server. Using the BI server let me access a large number of functions.
I'm now bridging my doorbell via Alexa. With the recent expansion of device types supported in full by Alexa, a lot more things are available in this way.

I'm still bringing basic door bell functions via Virtual switch coming back from the Alexa side to use as a device on the HE side, and RTSP in my dashboards, but I don't currently have the motion triggers functional - although I'm certain it is an option as the doorbell can be monitored on the Alexa side and a virtual trigger switch managed. Just one idea.

I use a reolink doorbell myself. I bring it into Hubitat through Camect., Works well.
