Done with Hubitat Homekit for now

I can give that a try next. I'm just unsure that its just the devices, as opposed to the translation from Homekit to Hubitat. As mentioned, I can activate these shades directly in hubitat without fail (from a dozen tests over days).

I've also set up automation in Homekit to run a scene in the morning. Then Afternoon a different scene. And some shades (different each time) fail to move position. When I set the same automation in Hubitat, they work every morning.

If I look at events for each shade in Hubitat, the ones that physically moved, show that event. The ones that didn't, show nothing as if they never got the signal.

I will try your theory and see if that helps. I also renamed groups and scenes to be more specifically named. And referencing in more detail to Siri.

For instance: instead of "Siri, Open Couch" (for the Couch Right, Couch Left, Couch Middle group named Couch" ... I changed to "Couch Shades"
And I am saying "Siri, Open Living Room Couch Shades"

On Scenes, instead of just "Siri, Semi Private", I'm saying "Siri, Set Scene Semi Private"

We'll see.

I have seen other people with a similar issue when trying to command a lot of devices at once using HomeKit scenes. It might just be too much info at once for the integration to handle. You would be much better off creating the scene in Hubiat. If you want to be able to activate it from HK manually then share the scene activator to HK and that can be mapped to a scene within HK. Then HK only commands the one virtual devices (scene activator), and Hubitat handles it from there.

Interesting.. yeah I thought there had to be a way to group devices in Hubitat, and scenes as well that are configured in Hubitat. I thought I looked into that and couldn't make the leap to mapping the activator to HK.

That's sort of my thinking in that something is lost in translation from HK to Hubitat, where it just misses a couple of the list of commands that are triggered. The thing that made me think differently is that I saw people talking about issues with like 200+ devices on their network/hubitat/hk, and here I am just trying to get 8-12 shades to operate at the same time.

Thanks again. Will report if/when any of these trials seem to stick for a week+

I just remembered, I think for Shades you will want to use Room Lighting, despite the name of the app they added the ability to group shades with it. I think the old Motion and Modes does not support shades correctly.
