Hello All,
Although I want to believe my 7 Dome Door Contact Sensors are at 100% battery, there is no way that is possible considering many have been going for 6 months on the same battery.
Is there a known issue with these?
Thank You
Matt

Yours must have shipped with the new quantum battery technology that gets power from the multiverse.
I have two Dome contract sensors and have been in place for about a year. Life expectancy is based on usage and Dome estimates 3 year life of the battery. When they were on the SmartThings hub I saw something in the 80% range. Now that I have reset them and put them on my Hubitat they reported 100% based on the zwave message log. I am going to wait a week or so to see if they re-calibrate to the right level.
Ya this could be a driver bug.
Not a driver bug. I actually logged the z-wave message coming from the Dome sensor stating 100% the battery, device reports the driver just presents based on that message. I reviewed the drivers on SmartThings for this device and confirmed this. If it is a bug it's in the firmware of the Dome device.
Since I moved this device over to Hubitat last weekend over it's only reported power twice. The initial pairing, then then on Monday early AM.
Just a note that two of my water sensors are Dome and they are show 100% also since resetting them and pairing into the Hubitat, they haven't reported in about two weeks. My other battery devices, Samsung water and locks have reported their levels and match what was seen when re-paired to Hubitat.
Hmmmm, good info and testing...I am thinking a daily health check might be a good idea for these to verify they are communicating etc, en-lieu of the battery reporting issues.
Thanks
Matt
The battery level does bounce around a bit, but mine appears to report accurately... Mine was reporting around 95% in July 2018 and a year later it's reporting around 85% so the battery life is pretty good.
This is the Door/Window sensor, not the version that also reports temperature...
What are you using to get the historical battery % view?
Thank You
Clicking "events" on the device details screen and then typing "battery" into the search box.
Oh nice thank you
