I recently (more than a week ago) lost a strip light controller. While waiting for the replacement to arrive - I 'disabled' the failing unit in HE Devices.
This seems to have broken / affected things in a bad way. Specifically - I have a rule for mode changed to sleeping - and the rule has been hanging up without running correctly.
There are no errors in the log - but I issue numerous light dims (to preset in case I wake up in the middle of the night) and what happened prior to me 'disabling' this light was the lights would change then shut off and the house would go dark.
Additionally, Room Lighting has been hit or miss. Some times all bulbs receive their commands, but more than once I've had lights just fail to enable (the CT bulb for the night stand gets very confused.) All of these things have been solid for me.
Now, lights change their dim value but some randomly dont accept the shut off. This all began only on change of this device to disabled.
Since the replacement unit should arrive in the next few days, I'm not concerned about this, simply reporting behavior.
I am on 2.4.2.160 on a c7. Maybe someone might run through a disabled device testing and see if they see similar issues.
