Does anyone make an energy monitor plug without a switch?

I have an Aeotec smart switch connected to an item I want to monitor the power for, but I want it to always be on, I don't want to be able to turn it off either by the switch itself or through Hubitat.

Is there a smart plug that doesn't have a switch, or that the switch can be permenantly disabled so it is always on?

I think the Zooz Zen15 can, if you have a high enough firmware version.

Thanks. I’ll check that one out.

Interesting. My first thought was no, that's got a switch (button), but I expect you're right about disabling that.

I looked in the one I have, which I think is up to date, and there's no switch in the driver to turn that functionality off. Perhaps you can do it with the Zwave tool?

S.

I am almost certain that is how you do that.

The settings page at the bottom should show which firmware you are on. If not, I think the Zwave tool will if queried.

Yeah...it does tell the version (1.4) AFAIK thats the latest for the Zen15, but I'd have to email @agnes.zooz to be sure....

You could use an aeotec relay and put it behind in the box behind the plug. The newer nano switches are pretty small and do power monitoring.

You can disable manual control on the ZEN15 from the button but you wouldn't be able to disable Z-Wave control. If you have firmware 1.05, you could set an auto-on timer that would turn the plug on immediately after it was turned off (whether manually or via Z-Wave) which could be a workaround for this application.
